How to Make Air Fryer Beignets
Step 1: Start by mixing your wet ingredients together in a bowl. Once combined slowly add in dry.

Step 2: Once your dough forms, layout dough on a lightly floured surface. You will work it a bit to help ensure it is fully combined and workable by the touch.

Step 3: Now you will cut your beignets out of the dough and allow them to sit for 10-15 minutes. While they sit you can preheat your air fryer.

Step 4: Grease the rack or tray in the air fryer to prevent sticking. Place beignets and brush with butter. Cook according to the recipe card.

Step 5: Once done, dust liberally with powdered sugar and dive in!!

Tips & Tricks
- Use self-rising flour for the best lift. If you only have all-purpose, add 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder and ¼ teaspoon salt per cup.
- Don’t skip the resting time. Letting the dough rest for about 15 minutes helps it relax and makes the beignets fluffier.
- Flip halfway through cooking. This ensures both sides get that perfect golden color.
- Eat them warm. These are best enjoyed fresh from the air fryer while the centers are still soft.
- Try flavor twists. Add a pinch of cinnamon or drizzle with melted chocolate or honey for a fun variation.

These are good in the weirdest kind of way! Definitely not like the traditional beignets, but still yummy! We’re making them for a Presidents’ Day tea time since beignets were one of our former presidents favorite foods!
