Ingredients:
- 1 Prepared/Store Bought Pie Dough Crust, In a 9-inch Pie Dish
- 1 Cup Granulated Sugar
- ¼ Cup Cornstarch
- 2 Cups Whole Milk
- 1 Stick Salted Butter, Cubed
- 1 Teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
- ½ Teaspoon Cinnamon
How to Make Sugar Cream Pie
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a medium-sized pan, whisk together the granulated sugar and cornstarch until well combined.
- Gradually whisk in the whole milk until the mixture is smooth and there are no lumps.
- Place the pan over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a gentle boil.
- Reduce the heat to low and continue cooking for an additional 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Remove the pan from the heat and add the cubed butter and vanilla. Stir until the butter has melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Pour the custard filling into the prepared pie crust, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon over the top of the custard evenly.
- Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for 40-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is set with a slight jiggle in the center.
- Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool completely on a wire rack.
- Once cooled, refrigerate the pie for at least 2 hours to allow the filling to set further.
- Serve chilled and enjoy!
