What goes on a Pancake Board?

This charcuterie board can be whatever you want, but this is what you’ll need:

  • A large cutting board or baking sheet, to act as the board.
  • A cutting board, for cutting the fruit.
  • A paring knife.
  • Small bowls.

And for toppings, this is what I recommend:

  • Pancakes. Use my Sheet Pan Pancakes for a super easy pancake recipe that doesn’t require you to flip and cook on a skillet.
  • Fresh berries: Berries are almost always available in some form at the grocery. Strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries are always a huge hit with the family and guests! Find fresh berries in the produce section and have fun with this delicious part of your fun pancake charcuterie board.
  • Bananas: So many people enjoy bananas and pancakes together! Slice them and serve them as part of the fruit medley this recipe brings.

  • Chocolate Chips: Chocolate and pancakes are best friends! Add fruit to the combination and you have scored a touchdown.
  • Nutella: Nutella brings a terrific nuttiness to this symphony of flavors.
  • Butter.
  • Whipped Cream: Chocolate and cream create the perfect flavor profile for pancakes and are perfect companions for fresh fruit.
  • Maple syrup. You can use classic maple syrup or pancake syrup.

  • Any other toppings of your choice!

What is a Pancake Charcuterie Board?

A classic charcuterie board is usually savory and includes dried meats, cheeses, olives, as well as some dips and toppings. This recipe is a twist on that with pancakes and all the best toppings! Try it with Sheet Pan Pancakes or mini pancakes!

How to make a Breakfast Charcuterie Board

Wash and prepare all fruits and set them aside.

Place Nutella, syrup, butter, and whipped cream each in their own small bowls then set aside.

Prepare the Sheet Pan Pancakes and cut them into squares, then arrange them on your board.

Once pancakes are arranged to your liking, add the Nutella, syrup, butter, and whipped cream. Then add the fruit.

Be creative with your arrangements – make it exactly the way you like it!

Storage

If there is any leftover fruit, return them to their original containers and put them back in the fridge. Chocolate chips and Nutella can go back in their containers, but leftover whipped cream should be discarded. Leftover pancakes should be stored in an airtight container and can be eaten within 1 day.

Tips and Tricks

  • If you do not like anything I’ve put on my charcuterie board, replace it with something or leave it off altogether. This is a versatile recipe that allows for creativity.
  • If you are not making sheet pan pancakes, I highly recommend making them with a mold or a cookie cutter, to get perfect circles.

  • Some great additions or substitutions would be peanut butter, biscoff spread, fresh peaches, roasted nuts, or lemon curd.
