If you are like me, you have seen and have fallen in love with Living Locurto’s Mickey & Minnie Mouse Christmas Cookies.  They have to be the most adorable Mickey & Minnie creation ever! You can clearly see that my Mickey & Minnie Halloween Cookies are a spin-off of those adorable cookies. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays for making adorable food creations so this just seemed like a perfect match.

Mickey & Minnie Halloween Cookies

I had so much fun making these and picking out the cute decorations.  Walmart has a ton of great Halloween sprinkles and decorations. This would make for a great project with the kids, starting with the shopping and ending with the decorating of these cuties.

Holidays are really all about the sweet time spent together with your loved ones.  Enjoy this with the ones you love the most and then break out the milk.

How To Melt Chocolate In The Microwave

In a microwave-safe container, microwave candy melts at 50% power or the defrost setting on your microwave. Melt for one minute to start. Remove and stir. Place back in the microwave for an additional 30 seconds at 50% power. Remove and stir. Continue to do this in 30-second intervals until smooth and creamy. Remember less is better. You can help melt some pieces that are still not fully melted by stirring with a spoon. You do not want to over microwave your chocolate.

How To Melt Chocolate In A Double Boiler

I actually found a fun way to use my Instant Pot. I have been using my Instant Pot as a Double Boiler! It is so easy to do, and melts chocolate so easily, and offers a simple way to keep the chocolate warm as you dip away. That way you don’t run into it the chocolate hardening and having to reheat after so long.

What Size Oreos Do You Need for These Mickey Cookies

For each cookie, you will use 2 mini Oreo’s that will act as the ears, and then one regular size Oreo for the head. You could even buy the Halloween Oreos that have an orange filling in them if you wanted. I used plain ones and they were just as tasty.

How To Store Mickey and Minnie Oreos

Place your Oreo cookies in a single layer and store in a container or sealable bag. If you want to make another layer, place a layer of wax paper or even parchment. That way you don’t run the risk of your cookies sticking together.

These cookies will store for around 5-8 days.

Can I Use Golden Oreos Instead of Original Cookies

Yes, if you want a golden cookie go for it. This is a great way to give these cookies a whole new flavor. The only downfall is you might find a harder time finding mini Golden Oreos for the ears.

Chocolate dipped Oreos can be used for any occasion. Change up the color of the dipped chocolate to fit the theme. Red would be great for Valentine’s Day and even Christmas. A pink or purple for Easter, and so on.
