Instant Pot Lasagna Soup
Instant Pot Lasagna Soup is a fun way to get your pasta fix. You get all the flavors of lasagna but in a soup form. Rich, creamy, and full of flavor. A rich broth, ground beef, and topped with mozzarella and ricotta cheese. Lasagna soup is a must make for anyone who loves lasagna.
I get tired of eating the same meals over and over again. This lasagna soup helps to break up our weeknight meals in a creative way. I am not just making a regular lasagna in a pan, I get to serve up a soup. It is hearty, savory, and such a comfort dish. Perfect for those chilly fall or winter days where you want something to stick to your ribs.
Instant Pot Lasagna Soup
The pressure cooker allows you to get that low and slow-simmered taste in literally a fraction of the time. That is why I always reach for my Instant Pot. Soups and stews are some of my favorite recipes to make. It really helps to blend and marry the ingredients fast for an incredibly flavorful meal.

What Type of Noodles Do You Use For Lasagna Soup
Generally, I break up lasagna noodles and toss it into my soup. But, if I am wanting something different I just reach for a smaller dry pasta. Since you are cooking in the Instant Pot you need to steer clear of fresh or homemade pasta. Neither can hold up during the cooking process.
Can I Use Sausage In Replace of Ground Beef
Absolutely. If you prefer sausage in your lasagna go for that. Or you can do part beef and part sausage for an incredible flavor. My family tends to enjoy ground beef, but you are welcome to use what you would like.
What Do You Put On Top of Lasagna Soup
I add on some shredded mozzarella cheese and a dollop of ricotta cheese. These two ingredients fully complete the lasagna soup. If you are not a fan of ricotta you can swap with cottage cheese, or skip it altogether.
What To Serve With Lasagna Soup
- Garlic Bread
- Breadsticks
- Crisp Green Salad
- Homemade Dinner Rolls
- Sandwich
You can serve anything you want with your soup. I personally eat it as is, but sometimes if it is a special occasion we do garlic bread next to it for dipping.

Simply transfer your cooled soup into an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to three days. I have used this soup to meal prep for lunches and it was incredible. I almost think the next day offers the best flavor as the ingredients really mend together once it sits overnight.

This was so good!! It’s like liquid lasagna, which is much less time consuming than actually lasagna but same wonderful taste!
I’m wondering about the sodium content in the recipe. My mom is on a low sodium diet and I need to know if she can eat this because it sounds delicious.
