Storage

Due to the creamer, you will need to refrigerate your moonshine after pouring it into the mason jars. Moonshine will last a long time in the fridge. In fact it gets better the longer it sits.

When you are ready to enjoy, be sure to really shake your mason jar to mix up the liquids that have settled.

Once you have opened a jar of moonshine, you will want to use it within 6 months.

I can’t find Everclear Alcohol. Can I use something else?

Everclear Alcohol is typically located in the midwest, but in some places, they do not sell it. If this is the case, you can substitute it for more Vodka. It will have a similar flavor for you to enjoy this drink still.

Gift Idea

Creamsicle Moonshine makes a great gift! Just pull the jar out of the fridge, tie a ribbon around it, and give it to a friend for a gift idea they are sure to love!

    1. You want to give it 15 minutes. If after 15 min there is still some pressure left, just go ahead and release the rest by moving to vent.

  1. This isn’t moonshine! A liqueur possibly, but definitely not shine. At least take your inst pot still out to the woods! Lol. That being said this looks dangerously delicious going to try it for camping season.

    1. These do not need to be refrigerated just keep on a cool dark shelf. They will last for quite some time due to the everclear

  2. I just made this and it is not the pretty orange color in the picture. It has an orange brown look. Has anyone else had this happen?

    1. @Karen Gordon, I had the same thing happen. I’m thinking about cutting the cook time down to 5 minutes next batch.

    2. @Rob, @Karen Gordon, It could be the vanilla extract that tints it darker. Whenever the final product color matters and needs to be lighter then the extract itself, I always use clear vanilla extract.
      Hope that helps
