When should you season your prime rib?

I like to season my prime rib after it is brought to room temperature and after I have rubbed it with butter. I will let it sit with the seasoning mixture for up to 30 minutes before placing it in the oven.

How do you make prime rib tender?

The secret to tender prime rib is the addition of salt. The longer you let the salt sit on the prime rib the more tender it will become.
