Y’all know how much I love rice pudding! I shared with you last week a simple way to make Instant Pot Rice Pudding and today I am so excited to share with you a different spin on it with this delicious crockpot rice pudding recipe.
You will love how easy this recipe is! It is as simple as dump, mix, and cook. The texture and flavor are impeccable that this will become your new go-to dessert. Serve it hot or cold however you prefer!
How to make Crockpot Rice Pudding
- Spray your crockpot with canola spray.
- Place all ingredients except the raisins into your slow cooker. Mix to combine.
- Cook on HIGH for 2-3 hours LOW for 4-5 hours
- Stir occasionally
- Add the raisins in the last ½ hour if using
- Enjoy hot or cold.

- The heavy whipping cream adds a level of caraminess you will love! If you find yourself without this you can substitute for milk.
- We love this dish with raisins, but you can omit completely.
- If you want to make this dairy free swap out the heavy cream for almond milk.

You will want to let your rice pudding completely cool and then store in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
Should you rinse your rice before making rice pudding?
When you rinse rice it changes the texture of it dramatically. For creamy dishes like rice pudding you DO NOT want to pre rinse your rice because it will change the texture of the finished product.
How do you fix rice pudding that is too dry?
If you feel like your rice pudding is too dry you can add some milk and mix it in and allow it to cook a bit longer.
What can I add as a topping?
There are so many great options to add to the top of this rice pudding. Try:
