How to make Crockpot Meatloaf
- Line your crockpot (bottom and sides) with aluminum foil. Spray with canola spray.
- Put all of the meatloaf ingredients into a large bowl. Mix well.
- Shape into a loaf that will fit into your slow cooker.
- Place your meatloaf into your slow cooker.
- Mix the sauce in a bowl & set aside
.. - Cook on LOW for 6 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours.
- When finished cooking, carefully lift out the aluminum foil and place
on a baking sheet. - Top your meatloaf with your sauce, spreading it evenly. (Save any extra for serving on the side)
- Broil until the glaze is bubbling and starting to caramelize a bit.
Tips Tricks and FAQs
- With crockpot
meatloaf you will want to use a more fatty beef. I like to use an 80/20 for this recipe. Leaner means tend to become drier and don’t hold in moisture as well. - Be sure to mix your meatloaf just to combine. If you mix too much it will become tough.
- The glaze pulls this dish together. Don’t forget to add it.
- If you are not a lover of garlic you can omit it.
- If you find yourself without white bread you can use crushed Ritz crackers or even oatmeal in its place.
