Tips Tricks and FAQs

  • With crockpot meatloaf you will want to use a more fatty beef. I like to use an 80/20 for this recipe. Leaner means tend to become drier and don’t hold in moisture as well.
  • Be sure to mix your meatloaf just to combine. If you mix too much it will become tough.
  • The glaze pulls this dish together. Don’t forget to add it.
  • If you are not a lover of garlic you can omit it.
  • If you find yourself without white bread you can use crushed Ritz crackers or even oatmeal in its place.
  • If you want an all in one meal add small red potatoes and baby carrots around your meatloaf in the crockpot.

Make Ahead

The great thing about this dish is that you can assemble your meatloaf up to one day in advance. I love making it the night before and putting it in the crock pot the next morning. Just be sure to cover and keep in the fridge until you are ready to cook.

Storage

Fridge

You will want to store all leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
