Crockpot Apple Cinnamon Roll Casserole is so easy to make and is the perfect go-to breakfast casserole as it combines cinnamon rolls, apple pie filling, an egg custard, cinnamon, and vanilla to create a gooey breakfast treat that everyone will enjoy. Cinnamon rolls with apple pie filling are one of my favorite combinations, I think it will be one of yours too!

I love creating simple breakfast casseroles to enjoy with the family. There is something about sitting down in the morning and sharing some laughs and good food together that just makes my heart so happy. That is why I especially love this crockpot apple cinnamon roll casserole.

This dish is so easy to make. It’s perfect for every Saturday morning. It even makes the perfect Christmas morning breakfast. It is gooey and flavorful and I love the apple pie filling combined with the cinnamon rolls and egg custard. I know your family will love it too!

How to make Crockpot Apple Cinnamon Roll Casserole

  • Spray your slow cooker with canola spray.
  • Place the 1st tube of crescent roll pieces into the bottom of your pot.  
  • Add into a large bowl, your eggs, heavy cream, brown sugar, cinnamon, & vanilla extract,  Whisk to combine.  
  • Pour half of the egg mixture over the crescent rolls pieces. 
  • Spoon half of your apple pie filling over the top. 
  • Add the 2nd tube of crescent roll pieces over the top.
  • Pour the remaining egg mixture over the top.
  • Top with remaining apple pie filling. 
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 2 ½-3 hours.
  • Top with the included icing.

Tips Tricks and FAQs

  • If you are not serving immediately, set your crockpot to warm after cooking. 
  • If you find yourself without heavy cream you can use milk. It will not thicken as much but will still taste delicious. 
  • Get Creative! Toss in some raisins or your favorite nut to change the flavor of this recipe. 
  • You want to be sure to use at least a 6 qt crockpot for this recipe. In a smaller crockpot, this casserole will not cook quite right. 
  • If you want to make more icing, just add a little bit of milk to the icing and mix it together.

Storage

You will want to store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.

Reheating

To reheat your casserole, place the desired amount on a plate and heat in the microwave in 15-second intervals.

Ingredients

  • 2 Tubes Refrigerator Cinnamon Rolls, cut into ¼’s
  • 1 ½ Cups Apple Pie Filling, cut the apples slices into smaller pieces by running a knife through.
  • 4 Eggs
  • ¼ Cup Heavy Cream
  • 2 TBSP Brown Sugar
  • ½ TSP Cinnamon
  • 1 TSP Vanilla Extract

Instructions

    1. Spray your slow cooker with canola spray.
    2. Place the 1st tube of crescent roll pieces into the bottom of your pot.  
    3. Add into a large bowl, your eggs, heavy cream, brown sugar, cinnamon, & vanilla extract,  Whisk to combine.  
    4. Pour half of the egg mixture over the crescent rolls pieces.
