Blueberry Croissant Bake
Blueberry croissant bake is an overnight breakfast that is sweet and delightful. Prep the night before and then wake up to toss your blueberry croissant in the oven! Tender, sweet blueberries and loads of cream cheese mixture.
I love a good breakfast recipe! Consider trying my breakfast banana splits, buttermilk blueberry bake, or this breakfast skillet!
Blueberry Croissant Bake
Blueberries are a favorite in our home. So while I was at the store I picked up some extras for making this croissant bake.
The whole family was excited about breakfast! Loads of sweetness in every bite.
How to Make Blueberry Croissant Bake
Step 1: Start by prepping your bread and placing it in the pan. Top with part of the blueberries.
Step 2: Now you will work on the cream cheese mixture. I mixed in a hand mixer and then poured it over the mixture.
Step 3: You can now store in the fridge until morning, or go ahead and bake it.
To bake just preheat the oven as directed and then store your blueberry bake in the fridge.
Fresh vs Frozen Berries
When you make this blueberry croissant bake you can use fresh or frozen. The frozen berries will bleed a bit of the juice and discolor. But the flavor is delicious either way.
If you use frozen just mix them in frozen and they will thaw.
Storing Leftover Blueberry Croissant Bank
If you have some leftovers you can store your breakfast bake in the fridge covered.
It will store for a few days in the fridge. Just eat cold or opt to warm up in the microwave.
Can I Use Different Fruit
If you are not wanting to use blueberries you can replace them with other fruit. Any fruit will work. Peaches, strawberries, mixed fruits, etc.
Granted the flavor changed a bit but it will still taste incredible.
Do I Have to Let This Sit Overnight Before Baking
Since this is an overnight breakfast casserole I think it throws people off. You do not have to wait overnight before you can cook. Feel free to make this anytime.
The reason I say it is an overnight casserole is it is great for when you have guests, a birthday or even the holidays.
Prep ahead of time and then just cook when you wake up. But feel free to cook right away if you don’t want to wait.
What to Serve With Croissant Bake
This can be a meal in one. Or if you want to dress it up go right ahead and pair it with your favorite sides.
A side of bacon, ham or even sausage offers a savory twist.
Other options would be a fruit salad, eggs of some kind, etc. Get creative and have fun with what you want to serve up.
