Oreo Frogs
You all know I can not resist creating stuff with chocolate. These chocolate dipped oreo frogs came out adorable! They were really easy to make so this would be a great treat to make with your kids. They will love both making them and eating them. Ribbet!
The ingredients needed for this are pretty simple and I will include links down below for you.
Keep in mind your melted chocolate acts as your glue. (See directions below for perfect chocolate melting) Since the chocolate can start to harden fairly quickly, you will want to act fast, once it is melted. I like to have all of my sprinkles, etc ready to be used.
First dip your oreos into the melted green chocolate. Than sprinkle with sprinkles if you are using.
Then quickly balance your eye balls on top and stick your tongue in. Easy peasy!
Melting chocolate:
In a microwave-safe container microwave candy melts at 50% power or the defrost setting on your microwave. Melt for one minute to start. Remove and stir. Place back in the microwave for additional 30 seconds at 50% power. Remove and stir. Continue to do this in 30 second intervals until smooth and creamy. Remember less is better. You can help melt some pieces that are still not fully melted by stirring with a spoon. You do not want to over microwave your chocolate.
