Tips Tricks and FAQs
- You want to be sure to not overmix the meat mixture. This will help it stay moist and not dry out as it cooks.
- You can omit the mushrooms if you prefer, but they do help the meatloaf stay moist as it cooks as well as adds flavor.
- Use a thermometer to check the meatloaf. Turkey should reach 165° in the center.
- If you would like to, you can saute your onions, garlic, and mushrooms for a few minutes prior to adding them to your meat. This ensures they are all thoroughly cooked. I find that sometimes the onions don’t cook as much as I would like if adding them to the turkey meatloaf raw.
Storage
You will want to store your turkey meatloaf in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
Can you freeze air fryer turkey meatloaf?
