Love Dipped Wafers
I will be serving mine to my boys on Valentine’s Day with their choice of hot chocolate or milk. Make a big batch and give these as gifts wrapped in pretty little cellophane bags.
No Bake Valentine’s Day Dessert
If you are a fan of no-bake desserts this recipe is the best. I used white chocolate candy melts for dipping, and added colorful Valentine’s Day sprinkles. If you are wanting a festive but easy dessert, this wafer recipe is a must.
Can I Use Milk Chocolate For Dipping
Absolutely! I used white chocolate but you are more than welcome to take milk or semi-sweet chocolate for dipping. If you want the chocolate to set up fast you can add a teaspoon of shortening to the chocolate as it melts. Then it will set up fast as almond bark does.
Which almond bark is also another great option to try if you want. It is all about the preference of flavor that you prefer.
This is a super easy treat to make, you can definitely have your kids help.

Melting chocolate in The Microwave
In a microwave-safe container, microwave candy melts at 50% power or the defrost setting on your microwave. Melt for one minute to start. Remove and stir. Place back in the microwave for an additional 30 seconds at 50% power. Remove and stir. Continue to do this in 30 second intervals until smooth and creamy. Remember less is better. You can help melt some pieces that are still not fully melted by stirring with a spoon. You do not want to over microwave your chocolate.
Can I Use The Instant Pot To Melt Chocolate
Yes, you absolutely can melt chocolate in the Instant Pot. I share a step by step process of how you do this, and you will love how easy it is. I have moved to melt chocolate in the Instant Pot because it is so easy to do. Plus you can move it anywhere that has a plugin close. That makes it nice for making it versatile.
How to Store Chocolate Dipped Wafers
Once your wafers are fully cooled and the chocolate has harden you will want to place them in an airtight container or sealable bag. They will store for 4-7 days. The first thing that will go bad is the wafers will become stale. So I recommend making these close to when you plan to serve them up.
Can You Freeze Valentine’s Day Wafers
Unfortunately, I don’t know that the wafers would freeze and thaw without becoming soggy. I have never tried to freeze these but you are welcome to try. I would just do a few to see if it works. Otherwise, you could have to toss out all your wafers if it doesn’t work.
Dip your wafers into the chocolate or apply with a spoon. Quickly decorate with your toppings before your chocolate starts to get firm.
