Instant Vortex Plus Rotisserie Roast Beef
Instant Vortex Plus Rotisserie Roast Beef is such an easy and affordable way to make your own rotisserie roast beef. Juicy, flavorful, and so simple to prepare.
With boys at home, I am used to having to spend a good amount of time in the kitchen. Growing boys eat a lot, and I have found that rotisserie roast beef has become a family favorite.
Instant Vortex Plus Rotisserie Roast Beef
If you have never tried a rotisserie roast beef recipe, don’t be nervous. This recipe is rather simple and the Instant Vortex Plus does all the work!
What Is Rotisserie Roast Beef
A seasoned and solid rod skewered beef that spins slowly around roasting. The skewer continuously spins at low-speed cooking every inch of your roast.
In a sense, Rotisserie-style self bastes keeping your roast juicy and adds so much flavor to the meat.
Do You Let Rotisserie Beef Rest Before Slicing
I do. I find if after you pull the beef off, sit on a platter or plate and let it rest covered for 15 minutes. This will help lock in natural juices and give you a more moist flavor. I just lightly cover it with aluminum foil.
Why Cook You Beef Rotisserie Style
- Easy to do!
- You get super tender meat every time.
- Cooking low and slow allows more flavors to shine through.
- Something different to try!
What Is The Best Cut Of Beef For Rotisserie Beef
Beef roasts are what you will reach for when cooking in a rotisserie style. Tenderloin, boneless rib roast, eye round, etc. Using a boneless roast is what you need for this recipe.
How Long Does It Take to Cook A Roast On A Rotisserie
Cooking a roast on a rotisserie all depends on the size of your roast. If your roast is a lot heavier in size than the one I used, you will of course have to add cook time to yours. I share more on this in the recipe card below.
What Internal Temperature Does Rotisserie Beef Need to Reach
The minimum you want is a 145 degrees internal temperature. This will still offer a pink color to the beef, you are more than welcome to cook longer. You just don’t want to pull it off under any temperature lower than 145.
How Do You Slice Rotisserie Beef
Use a sharp knife and begin to slice on one end of the beef. You can shave it thin or make it a bit thicker, it is all about preference.
Ways To Serve Rotisserie Beef
Slice and serve with all your favorite dinner sides for a tasty treat. You could do items like mashed potatoes and gravy, roasted vegetables, dinner rolls, etc. This is a great alternative for say Easter and skips the ham or turkey.
Or slice up your meat and serve like sandwiches whether cold sandwiches or even open-faced roast beef sandwich.
There are so many tasty ways to serve this beef, don’t box it in!

Wondering why you do not recommend temps below 145 degrees for the beef. What if you prefer rare beef?
Oh go for it.. I just try to stick to what the best recommendations I can find on the web if I am not an expert.
Thank you so much!
I am doing a 2.5 beef tenderloin in my Vortex+ for Christmas dinner. You gave me exactly the info I need
Anne
Did you set the vortex to rotate? Thank you!
yes i did rotate mine
The rotisserie on mine is broken and won’t rotate. Can I still do this on one if the racks? Perhaps on the lowest rung above the drip tray? Time and temp the same?
yes time and temp will be the same. You can definitely put lay it on one of the racks..
I have my butcher cut a sirloin tip roast, about 3 lb. I cut it in half and make 2 small. This is perfect for rotiss and comes out more like a top end steak. I splurged and did a prime rib one night and it was awesome, but this is a lot less expensive and actually I think as good.
Oh my goodness this is my new and now only way to cook roast! I used a 4.5lb bottom round, trimmed that outer fat pad (I may leave on next time), cut into two separate roasts. I sprinkled Montreal steak seasoning because it was easier and I felt rushed for time. First roast air fried rotisserie at 350° for approximately 40 minutes because I thought I might overcook it, used my thermometer and happily came to 135° and I new it would rise in temp so I wrapped it in foil and cooked the second roast. I cooked the second at 325° for 45 minutes and boy it was perfect. Both roasts had the slight pink we enjoy and wasn’t dry or tough which is what I was worried about. Cut across the grain and was easily cut. I won’t do it any other way. I cooked it my 26qt Kalorik maxx. I was disappointed in their recipes but have had good luck googling recipes. This rotisserie part of their oven you actually have to insert a long rod the apply the sharp prongs on either side to hold in place those are a challenge but get easier as I do more rotisserie foods. Thanks again for your helpful info and recipe, much appreciated by me and my family.
@Karen Johnson, Thanks for your instruction…I just bought a Kalorik Maxx and am having trouble finding recipes for certain things….roast for dinner tonight!
Thanks for the great info I love my vortex air fryer doing a 3 lb rost now it’s so big it rubs the bottom tray:)
