It will give it that creamy flavor. If you can’t find Olive Garden Italian dressing, you can use another brand of salad dressing, just be sure to get the “zesty Italian” for that same flavor we all love. Or better yet, check out my recipe to make a copycat version of Olive Garden Signature Italian dressing.

Can I Make This Without Pasta

Absolutely. If you would prefer to have just the chicken go right ahead and leave the pasta out. I have done that in the past and it is super tasty as well. Serve it over rice or on a bun. You will love it however you serve it.

How To Store Leftovers

You can store your chicken and pasta in the fridge for up to three days. Just place properly in an airtight container.

Then to reheat you can warm up in the microwave or opt to heat up on the stove or even the oven.

I have used the leftovers to meal prep for lunches for my kids and husband as they head out to work. But, you are more than welcome to save back and eat the next night for dinner.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Cook Pasta Separately: Instead of cooking the pasta directly in the Instant Pot with the other ingredients, cook it separately on the stove according to package instructions. This helps to prevent the pasta from becoming overcooked and mushy.
  2. Add Pasta Towards the End: Once the chicken and sauce are cooked in the Instant Pot, add the cooked pasta to the pot and stir to combine. This allows the pasta to soak up the flavors of the sauce without becoming overcooked.
  3. Finish with Cheese: For that signature creamy Olive Garden flavor, finish the dish by stirring grated Parmesan cheese. This adds richness and depth to the sauce, making it irresistible.
  4. Garnish and Serve: Before serving, garnish your Instant Pot Olive Garden Chicken Pasta with chopped fresh parsley or basil for a pop of color and freshness. Serve hot and enjoy the delicious flavors of Italy in the comfort of your own home!

FAQ’s for Making Instant Pot Olive Garden Chicken Pasta

    1. To make in your crockpot, follow the directions the same way but slow cook on high for 4 hours or low for 5-6 hours.

  1. I’m trying this with chicken and shrimp. Per husbands requeat I dint have an Insta pot but I have a knock off (fabberware) and my husband loves the meals!

  2. I’m trying this recipe but my problem is that with the hours I work, I will be gone for 10-11 hrs! If I put my crockpot on low, will this be too much cooking time for the chicken??

  3. So what exactly do you mean by natural release ? Is that sealing it then venting it? And so f you have frozen chicken breasts how does that work

    1. a natural release is when you are finished cooking, you let your pot just sit for at least 15 minutes, allowing it to release the pressure on its own. After 15 minutes if your pin has not popped up allowing you to open your lid, just finish off with a quick release. If you are using frozen chicken, it will work the same, it will just take your pot longer to come to pressure allowing for that chicken o defrost and cook thoroughly.

    1. yes, you sure can. It will just take a bit longer to reach full pressure which will defrost your chicken for you. 🙂

  4. I used chive n onion cream cheese instead of plain . I feel like it’s too salty and needs a veggie or possibly bacon.

  5. Way too indulgent. I accidentally put it only half the bottle of dressing, so I’m sure that made this richer than the original recipe, but we also didn’t put in any Parmesan at all, and it was unpleasantly cheesy/creamy. A whole package of cream cheese is just not healthy, even spread over multiple servings. I would suggest doing one quarter block of cream cheese to add a hint of richness, and the whole bottle of dressing.

  6. I made this with chicken thighs and added sauted mushrooms, bacon, and spinach. It was amazing! The whole family loved it.
