Ingredients:

  • 1 Pound Ground Pork ( Or Ground Turkey, Chicken, Or Beef)
  • 1 Tablespoon Vegetable Oil
  • 1 Small Onion, Thinly Sliced
  • 3 Cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 1 Teaspoon Ginger, Grated
  • ¼ Cup Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Rice Vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon Sesame Oil
  • 1 Teaspoon Sambal Oelek (Chili Garlic Sauce)
  • 1 Small Head Cabbage, Shredded
  • 1 Cup Shredded Carrots
  • 4 Green Onions, Sliced
  • Toasted Sesame Seeds, For Garnish

How to Make Egg Roll in a Bowl

  • Heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat in a large skillet or wok.
  • Add the ground pork to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, breaking it up into crumbles with a spoon or spatula.
  • Add the onion, garlic, and ginger to the skillet. Saute for 2-3 minutes until the onion is translucent and fragrant.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and Sambal Oelek (chili garlic sauce).
  • Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet with the cooked pork and vegetables. Stir to coat everything evenly.
  • Add the shredded cabbage and carrots to the skillet. Cook for 5 minutes stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is wilsted and the carrots and tender-crisp.
  • Remove the skillet from the heat. Stir in the sliced green onions.
