Tips Tricks and FAQs
- You can double, triple or quadruple this recipe if you prefer. This recipe fills two deep style ramekins.
- Deep Style ramekins do tend to work better than shallow ones.
- If you do not have a kitchen torch, I highly recommend you get one, but you can melt the sugar on the stove if you need to. Stir the sugar in your sauce pan and it will begin to liquify and turn brown. Once it hits this point, remove from heat and pour over your creme brulee. Beware it will burn quickly, so stir constantly and watch for it to turn brown.
Storage
You will want to store any leftovers you have in the fridge for up to 2 days, remove and allow them to reach room temperature before sugaring, torching, and serving.
