Cover and place in the fridge and allow the shots to set up.
Can I Use Apple Juice in Replace of Apple Cider
If you don’t have Apple cider you can use Apple juice. You will find cider offers more flavor as it is full of warm spices.
But the juice will give a sweet flavor so it can be interchanged.
How to Make Homemade Apple Cider
Want to make homemade apple cider? Check out my Instant Pot Apple Cider recipe. Simple ingredients, warm spices, and a quick cook time.
You can make apple cider on the stove or even a slow cooker if you don’t own a pressure cooker.
Can I Make These Jello Shots in Advance
Feel free to make these apple shots in advance. You have to remember it can take a few hours for shots to set up.
I tend to make them the day before I want to serve them up. That way they fully set up and are ready to go.
How to Serve Apple Cider Jello Shots
- Serve plain
- Add whipped cream on top
- Sprinkle on apple pie spice
- Drizzle with caramel sauce
- Etc,
There are a variety of ways to serve up this fall treat. Get creative and have fun.
Can I Make These Non Alcoholic
Feel free to leave out the alcohol to make these non alcoholic. You can add in extra cider or even say a ginger ale or lemon lime soda.
It will give them flavor and be kid friendly or ready for adults who prefer no alcohol.
Can I Add Extra Whiskey To Jello Shots
The one thing to remember is adding too much alcohol will make the jello not set up. Unfortunately you can’t really add extra whiskey because it will keep the mixture liquidy.
The jello won’t set up as it should. As you know whiskey and such won’t freeze so you run to similar issues. For shots like this less alcohol is best.
