When you come home the house will smell amazing and dinner is awaiting in your slow cooker.

How to Make

Step 1: Season chicken and heat a pan up with oil on the stove. You will start by pan searing your chicken.

You want to create a crust. This locks in flavor but also will give your chicken amazing texture.

Step 2: While the chicken is cooking layer your potatoes in the bottom of the slow cooker. Add in remaining seasoning and stir well.

Step 3: Once the chicken is done searing place on top of the seasoned potatoes.

Step 4: Place lid and cook as directed in the recipe card below.

How to Know When Chicken Is Done

Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the chicken. You want it to read 165 degrees.

You can also tell when chicken is done as the juices will just clear.

Do I Have To Pan Sear Chicken

Pan searing the chicken is not a have to but I do highly recommend doing so. You will find worth it this step the chicken will have a softer texture.

Plus the seasoning that gets seared on helps a ton in proving a lot of flavor to the chicken.

Can I Use Chicken Breasts

Feel free to reach for chicken breast over thighs. Just follow the directions. You might find the breast could cook a bit faster than a thigh would.

Can You Add Other Vegetables Into The  Recipe

Want to make this an even heartier chicken dinner? About 30 minutes before it is done add in some canned, drained vegetables. Green beans would be great. Or if you have frozen mixed vegetables go ahead and do that.

Just don’t toss in at the beginner or they would be complete mush.
