Tips Tricks and FAQs

  • If your meatloaf begins to brown too quickly you will want to cover the top with foil until it is time to add the glaze.
  • If you want to sneak in any vegetables you can easily add these. I recommend using some canned green beans chopped up.
  • Don’t forget to let your meatloaf rest when it is done. Let it rest for about 5 minutes out of the Ninja Foodi. This will help it not fall apart when you are cutting it.

Storage

This meatloaf stores really nicely. Just keep in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge.

Freezer

You can easily store leftover meatloaf in the freezer. Store pieces individually wrapped and then place them in a freezer bag. This allows you to take out just what you need to heat up later. Thaw them overnight in the fridge.

Notes

*if you would like to make this a one-pot dinner for two, you will want to nearly half the recipe. Make the meatloaf sized for 2 people. You can add 2 potatoes, keep those outside of the tinfoil loaf pan you created, within the crisper basket. Prick potatoes with a fork, Rub the potatoes with either butter or EVOO. Sprinkle with sea salt, garlic powder and any other favorite seasoning. You may need to continue to cook the potatoes for an additional 10 minutes to fully bake depending on their size.

  1. Are there directions for the glaze? Do you cover the meatloaf with tinfoil or just leave it open? Thank you!

    1. When you reach step #6, you will pour the glaze over the top. Try to keep the foil open so that the glaze starts to carmelize a little bit 🙂
