The most noticeable difference between a chicken and a cornish game hen is the size and maturity. Cornish game hen reaches their maternity at about 28 days and doesn’t weigh over 2 pounds most of the time.

How to make Ninja Foodi Cornish Game Hen
- Add 1 cup of broth or water to your pot.
- Place your crisper basket in your pot.
- Place your cornish hen(s) into your crisper basket.
- Pressure cook on HIGH for 15 minutes + do a QR (quick release).
- Baste your hen with melted butter and season with Season All.
- Place your air crisper lid on.
- Set Air Crisp to 390 degrees. Air fry for 10 minutes, breast side down.
- Flip your hen and Air Crisp for another 15 minutes.
- Check the internal temperature, if it is 165 degrees, your hen is done. If not air crisp for additional time until the temperature is reached.
Tips Tricks and FAQs
- Be sure to check the internal temperature of your chicken with a meat thermometer you don’t want to skip this step.
- Flavor your hens with Season All or even with just salt pepper and a little garlic. You will love the crispy skin with these flavors.
- You want to season the entire hen. Use your hands to rub the season all over it to not miss it.
- Be sure you remove the giblets if your hen does not come with them removed.
Storage
Store your leftover hen in an airtight container in the fridge for about 4 days. The skin will not be as crispy when you eat it again, but it will still be moist and juicy.
