  • 2 Large Eggs
  • ⅔ Cup Ketchup, Divided

How to Make Lipton Onion Soup Meatloaf

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, soup mix, breadcrumbs, buttermilk, eggs and ⅓ cup of the ketchup. Mix using a rubber spatula or clean hands.
  • Transfer the ground beef mixture to the prepared loaf pan and press into the pan. Spread the other ⅓ cup of ketchup evenly over the top and bake for 55-60 minutes at 350℉ or until the meatloaf reaches an internal temperature of 160-165℉.
  • Allow to rest for 10 minutes before removing from the pan and slicing. Serve with mashed potatoes and garnish with fresh parsley. Enjoy!

Tips & Tricks

  • Use Ground Beef with Fat: Opt for 80/20 ground beef for the juiciest meatloaf. Leaner meat may result in a drier texture.
  • Don’t Overmix: Mix the ingredients until just combined to avoid a dense, tough meatloaf.
  • Line the Pan with Parchment: This makes it super easy to lift the meatloaf out for slicing and serving.
  • Customize the Glaze: Add a bit of brown sugar or a splash of Worcestershire sauce to the ketchup for a sweet-savory kick.
  • Let It Rest: Allowing the meatloaf to rest for 10 minutes before slicing ensures the juices redistribute for a perfect slice every time.
