Tips Tricks and FAQs
- For this recipe we always use ground beef, but you could easily use sausage, ground turkey or a combination of these meats.
- I love using macaroni noodles, but you can use any small noodle that you prefer.
- Cheddar cheese is my preferred cheese, but you can use any combination. Parmesan cheese is always a great addition.
- If you let the goulash sit for a few minutes prior to serving it will thicken a bit.
- If you prefer you can substitute chicken broth for beef broth.
- If you want to add in a few more vegetables, dice up a green bell pepper for a little more flavor and color.
Storage
You will want to store your leftover cheesy goulash in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
Reheating
You will want to reheat your desired amount of goulash in the microwave, covered. Heat it up for 1 minute and then stir. Heat for thirty second intervals stirring in between until it reaches your desired temperature.

Great flavor but a little soupy. I think I would eliminate one can of sauce.
I guess the cheese just goes in at the end?? Seems like something is missing. Should I wait before releasing pressure?
I dont see where the cheese gets put in?
Step #4 in the recipe. 🙂
Was pretty good.. Though turned out soupy.. I added more noodles an cooked it for 3 more mins… Was still soupy… Will try again with less sauce.
