Chocolate Chip Brownies
When I was little I always remember sitting at the counter while my mom made chocolate chip brownies. I remember her always letting me help get out the ingredients and add them to the bowl. I loved her chocolate chip brownies. They were moist and chewy and loaded with so much chocolate flavor.
When I became a mom I don’t know why but I got away from these and started buying the $1.00 brownie mix at the store, but I always craved those brownies mom made. For the last few years we have gone back to mama’s recipe and I am so excited to share it with you today!
These will be the best brownies you ever make!

Tips Tricks and FAQs
- If you only have a 9×9 pan you can use it as well. Just note, you will need to reduce the baking time and your brownies will not be as thick.
- If you prefer you can use a stand mixer or a hand mixer. This is one batter that you can easily mix up with your favorite mixing spoon/ spatula. Once the chocolate chips are added you will want to stir it by hand.
- If you want to be able to see the chocolate chips on the top of your brownies, you can add more to the top of your brownie batter once you add it to your pan. You may find that these will sink as your brownies bake.
- Feel free to use your favorite chocolate chip brand. You can also swap them out for white chocolate chips, milk chocolate, mint chips, or butterscotch chips.
- You can omit the addition of chocolate chips if you prefer.
- Serve alone or with a nice scoop of vanilla ice cream on top!
While you can eat these brownies cold, they are much better right out of the oven or reheated.
This gives them a nice chocolate gooey flavor from all those chocolate chips.
Yes, you can reheat these brownies. To reheat them you will want to place a brownie on a microwavable safe plate and cover it with a paper towel.
Cook in 15-second increments until it is warm. You do not want to overheat them.
Storage
You will want to store your chocolate chip brownies in an airtight container at room temperature. These will keep for up to 4 days.
