Air Fryer Broccolini
Air Fryer broccolini is one of my favorite things to cook in the air fryer. It is so easy to make and the flavor is perfect as it is lightly seasoned with garlic, salt, and pepper with a little bit of lemon juice and olive oil.
You are almost guaranteed that every time you cook broccolini in the air fryer it will come out perfectly tender and crisp! Once you make this you will want to pair it with all your favorite dishes like our Instant Pot Pork chops and Mashed Potatoes and our Air Fryer chicken Fries.
What is Broccolini?
Broccolini is not the typical broccoli bunches you buy in the store. It is smaller with more delicate florets on a thinner stalk than traditional broccoli. It cooks up a nice bright green color. It is full of so many nutritional benefits making it a side you will want to serve more often to your family.
How to Make Air Fryer Broccolini
- First, rinse the broccolini. Then cut the woody ends off and pat dry.
- In a large bowl add the broccolini, oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Toss until thoroughly coated.
- Transfer the broccolini to the air fryer basket. Make sure to place it in a single layer.
- Cook at 390F for 5-6 minutes or until desired doneness.
Tips Tricks and FAQs
- It is important to rinse your broccolini before cooking it. Once you rinse it, be sure you dry it well. If you don’t, it will steam in the air fryer rather than get tender and crispy.
- Be sure to not overcrowd the basket, you want to make sure the air can properly circulate.
- If you are making multiple batches, the second and third batches always cook faster than the first, check it a minute or two sooner than the recipe states.
Storage
You will want to store your leftover air fryer broccolini in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
To reheat your broccolini, place it in a preheated air fryer for a minute or two to warm it back up to your desired temperature and crispy it back up.
