Tips Tricks and FAQs
- You can use any flavored Oreo, I usually just use regular Oreos. Double stuff will work as well.
- Be sure to use the Oreo filling and not just the cookie part.
- If you are using candy melts, be sure to add coconut oil or vegetable shortening to the candy melts. This helps the melted chocolate create a smoother shell around the truffle.
- You can use white melting chocolate if you prefer, just add a few drops of pink food coloring once it is melted.
- You can double the recipe as long as your food processor can hold all the ingredients.
Storage
Store your Oreo truffles in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
Can you freeze Oreo truffles?
Yes you can easily freeze Oreo truffles. You will want to prepare as directed and then place them on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Place the baking sheet in the freezer until the cookie balls are frozen. Transfer the Oreo truffles to an airtight freezer-safe container and freeze for up to 6 months.
