Ninja Foodi Grill Frittata
I had some produce creeping up to expire. I wanted to get it used up so I didn’t waste any of it.
So I whipped up my delicious vegetable Frittata! The kids gobbled it up and I created a healthy and easy meal for the family!
What Is A Frittata
Frittatas are an Italian dish that is similar to an omelette. Or some refer to a Frittata as a crustless quiche.
Frittatas are extremely versatile. Toss in chopped meats, all kinds of vegetables, and don’t skimp on cheese.
Fantastic for breakfast, lunch, dinner, brunches and the list continues!
What Does A Frittata Taste Like
Frittatas are an egg based dish. So you will find they offer a fluffy and light texture if cooked properly.
Frittatas can be a healthy option depending on what you stir in. Since they are crustless it can be a lower carb meal option.
How to Make
Step 1: Start by grabbing a bowl and mixing up your eggs, and getting your veggies all prepped.
Step 2: Start adding in your chopped vegetables and give it a stir to combine.
Step 3: Add in your favorite shredded cheese. Mix to combine.
Step 4: Now you will use a pan that is safe for your Ninja Foodi Grill. I used a 8 ½ cake pan and it worked great.
Pour your Frittata filling into the pan and cook as directed in the printable recipe card below.
Pro Tip: Making A Sling For Cake Pan
As you know the Grill isn’t too deep but deep enough it can be hard to get your pan out.
I created an aluminum sling that I placed under my pan in the Foodi Grill. It made removing my pan from the hot grill a breeze.
Can I Make This In The Oven
Want to make this simple Frittata but don’t own a grill? Turn that oven on and toss it in there to bake!
Follow the same instructions in recipe card. The cook fine can vary so keep a close eye on the egg dish and pull from the oven when it is fully baked.
Proper Way To Store Leftovers
Homemade frittatas store rather well. I have meal prepped for breakfast with my Frittata. Just ensure you allow your dish to cook a bit,
Then you are welcome to slice and then place in a proper container! Toss in the fridge and store for a few days.
You can eat leftovers cold or toss in microwave for a quick reheat.
Variations to Frittatas
- Toss in cooked meat – bacon, sausage, ham, etc.
- Change up veggies used for what you have on hand.
- Swap out the cheese for a different blend. Pepperjack, Sharp, Swiss, etc.
- Etc
There are many ways you can create the perfect dish. Feel free to play around with the recipe to create a meal everyone can get excited about.
