Instant Vortex Plus Air Fryer Ramekin Apple Pies
You have to try these Instant Vortex Plus Air Fryer Ramekin Apple Pies, they are the perfect dessert for fall. Single-serve ramekin apple pies with homemade apple pie filling.
If you have an Air Fryer or the new Instant Vortex Plus you will love this easy ramekin apple pie recipe. Add a scoop of ice cream on top and dive in for the ala mode flavor.
Air Fryer Ramekin Apple Pies
Ramekin apple pies offer that perfect dessert that fits the fall season. I actually used my homemade Instant Pot apple pie filling for the center of this recipe. It adds even more flavor to this homemade apple pie recipe.
Do You Use Store-Bought Crust Or Homemade
You can use either, homemade or store-bought. If you use a store-bought crust, reach for crust that you can roll out. This can be found in the refrigerator section, by the dairy. That way you can cut and shape your dough to fit perfectly in each ramekin.
Canned Apple Pie Filling Or Homemade
This is up to you. I love a homemade pie filling, as it offers a more fresh and pure flavor. But if you don’t mind canned pie filling go ahead and reach for a can to use.
Can I Double This Apple Pie Ramekin Recipe
Absolutely. You will just need to batch cook your apple pies. There is only so much room in the Instant Vortex Air Fryer, so cook in batches, then wrap in aluminum foil and place in the oven at 200 degrees to keep them warm while the rest of the pies bake. The aluminum foil will help to prevent the crust from overcooking.
How Long Does It Take To Make Mini Apple Pies In Air Fryer
This is such a quick and easy dessert. You just lay out a top layer of pie crust on top. Then do a simple egg wash and a drizzle of sugar and bake for just 6-7 minutes.
The air fryer heats quickly so you are able to serve up these mini apple pies a lot faster than in the oven.
Can I Bake These Ramekin Apple Pies in The Oven
Yes, you are welcome to make these in the oven if you do not have an air fryer. Follow the directions as listed below, and then bake in the oven at 360 degrees, until the pie crust is fully cooked. This might take a little longer than the air fryer time frame.
How to Store Leftover Apple Pie
You will want to store your leftover apple pies in the fridge placed in a refrigerator covered. These mini apple pies will store for up to 4-5 days in the fridge when stored at the proper temperature.
Best Way To Reheat Ramekin Apple Pies
I wrap them up in aluminum foil and then just warm them up in the oven until they are fully warmed through. If you don’t cover in aluminum foil the will overcook the crust.
Ways To Dress Up Apple Pie
- Whipped cream
- Ice Cream
- Drizzle of Caramel
- Dusting of Cinnamon
These air fryer ramekin apple pies are truly a delight. I highly recommend giving these mini pies a try. A great way to make as much or as little as you would like to fit how many you plan to serve.
