Tips & Tricks

  • Mix Thoroughly: Make sure to blend the cake mix and pumpkin well so there are no lumps. A hand mixer works wonders for this and helps give you a smooth batter.
  • Spray the Egg Bite Molds Generously: To make removal easier and to keep your bites intact, give the molds a good coating of canola or nonstick spray. It’ll make taking them out a breeze after they cool.
  • Add Spacers for Layered Molds: If you’re stacking two egg bite molds in the Instant Pot, place mason jar rings in between them as spacers. This ensures even cooking and keeps the muffins from pressing against each other.
  • Cool Before Removing: Let the bites cool in the mold for a few minutes before removing them to help them hold their shape. Just turn the mold over and gently press on the bottom to pop them out cleanly.
  • Customize to Your Taste: These bites are versatile! Try adding mini chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or a sprinkle of cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice for extra flavor.

    1. Definitely. I am just not positive on the timing. But usually cakes take as much time in the instant pot as they would in the oven
