Air Fryer Chicken Taquitos are one of the simplest Mexican dishes to create at home that the entire family will love! With about 10 minutes of prep and 10 minutes of cooking, you will have an easy dinner ready to go in no time at all making this the perfect meal for those busy weeknights!

How to Make Air Fryer Chicken Taquitos
- Preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees.
- In a bowl, blend the chicken, cream cheese, salsa, and Monterey jack cheese.
- Place about 2 tablespoons of the chicken off-center in each tortilla. Roll up the tortilla as tightly as possible without tearing the tortilla and place it on the baking sheet with the seam side down.
- Place the taquitos in the air fryer for 8 to 10 minutes, turning once, or until lightly browned.
- Serve with additional salsa verde, sour cream, or guacamole.
Tips Tricks and FAQs
- You can swap out the salsa verde salsa for regular salsa if you prefer.
- Be sure to soften the cream cheese first. I usually leave it at room temperature for 30 minutes.
- If you want to add some spice to these you can add some chili powder. A little goes a long way!
- I love using the meat of a rotisserie chicken to make these on really busy nights.
- Add corn and black beans to the chicken mixture for even more protein and flavor.
- Feel free to use another cheese! You can easily use cheddar cheese or Mexican Cheese.
- For even more flavor spray the tops with cooking spray prior to cooking and add some kosher salt. Yum!

These taquitos freeze so well. You will want to roll these as if you were going to Air Fry them and then place them on a tray lined with parchment paper. Place them in the freezer, until frozen, for about 4 hours, and then place them in a freezer-safe bag. These will stay fresh for 3-4 months.
How to cook frozen taquitos
Place your frozen taquitos in your Air Fryer and cook for about 12-15 minutes. You will want to check them around 10 minutes to see how they are cooking.
Can I bake these in the oven?
Yes, you can bake these in the oven, but they will not be as crispy.
