Tips Tricks and FAQs
- If you want to seal in the flavor, even more, you can soak your pork chops in the milk/ egg mixture for an hour or two. The longer that they soak, the easier the coating mix will stick to the pork chop.
- You can swap out the milk for buttermilk if you choose. Buttermilk is known to work as a tenderizer with pork so if you want extra tender meat, use buttermilk instead.
- Since pork chops vary in size, so does the cooking time. You want to be sure the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees. Once it reaches this temperature set it on a cutting board to rest for 3-5 minutes.
- I use silicone trivets for placing on top or underneath the door on my Instant Vortex Plus, it has been a lifesaver for crumbs and for placing my hot trays down.
Storage
It is best to eat these right away so that they stay crispy and delicious, but if you have leftovers you will want to store them in the fridge for up to 3 days in an airtight container.
To reheat you can place them in the microwave to warm up to your desired temperature or if you want to crispy them back up, place them in the Air Fryer for about 5 minutes.
Can I use boneless pork chops?
Yes, you can use bone-in or boneless pork chops for this recipe. Just note if you use boneless pork chops you might not need to cook them as long.
Should I use thin pork chops or thick-sliced pork chops?
It is really up to you! I prefer thicker sliced pork chops because it really locks in the moisture better and they are juicier, but thinly sliced pork chops will still have great flavor. Just be sure you do not overcook them which is easy to do if you are not careful with them.
