Ninja Foodi or Air Fryer Garlic Butter Green Beans
Ingredients
- 1 pound green beans trimmed and washed
- 2 tablespoon butter
- 1 TBSP minced garlic
- 2 TBSP Grated Parmesan
Instructions
NINJA FOODI
- Put 1 TBSP of melted butter in a Ziploc bag. Put green beans into the Ziploc, seal it and give it a good shake to evenly coat the green beans in butter.
- Pour green beans into your crisp basket.
- Close the crisping lid. Press Air Crisp, time will automatically be set to 20 min, keep that. Set temperature to 370 degrees.
- Take the basket out a couple of times and shake the green beans so they cook as evenly as possible. The green beans should be slightly charred, and wrinkled looking.
- With pot holders (its hot!) remove the crisp basket and set aside.
- Press Saute, setting to high. Put 1 TBSP of butter and 1 TBSP of minced garlic into the pot. Let the garlic start to caramelize.
- Pour green beans into the pot and let saute for a few minutes , moving the green beans around while cooking to coat with butter and garlic.
- Remove to a serving dish and sprinkle generously with parmesan cheese.
AIR FRYER
- Set the air fryer at 360º and let it preheat for 3 minutes before using.
- Put 1 TBSP of melted butter in a Ziploc bag. Put green beans into the Ziploc, seal it and give it a good shake to evenly coat the green beans in butter.
- Pour green beans into your air fryer.
- Close and air fryer for 15 minutes. Take the basket out a couple of times and shake the green beans so they cook as evenly as possible. The green beans should be slightly charred, and wrinkled looking. If they are still quite crunchy, put them back in the basket and air fry for an additional 5 minutes.
- Microwave 1 TBSP of butter and 1 TBSP of garlic until butter is melted. Do not let the butter melt over but you do want to microwave it long enough that the butter can cook the garlic a bit.
- Place green beans in a swerving dish, pour melted butter/garlic over and generously sprinkle with parmesan.

This recipe did very good service for me last evening! I modified it a bit – I DID use frozen beans but thawed them 2 1/2 minutes in the microwave then dried them in paper towels. Rather than soak them in butter, I sprayed them with avocado oil and they crisped nicely in the Foodi air crisper. I cooked the garlic and butter and beans in a nonstick skillet and instead of Parmesan I used Trader Joe’s “Unexpected Cheddar” which has notes of Parmesan. I can’t imagine if I had followed the recipe to the letter I would have had a better dish it was great! So…thanks for the idea for this one and chime in if anyone else tries it my way!
