I was sort of expecting a Leprechaun or an elf to join me for a nice hot cup of mint hot chocolate.  He did not make an appearance but my two sons that also love mint, did. We all had a delicious cup of mint white hot chocolate together.  It was a really sweet family moment and I loved every minute of it.

How to You Make Mint Hot Chocolate Extra Creamy

The secret ingredient to make your mint hot chocolate extra creamy is the half and half. It makes it a thicker and richer texture. So it is extra creamy and more of an indulgent as you sip away.

I think you will love the velvety texture of this mint recipe. I know my whole family drank it all and wanted more.

Can I Double This Mint Hot Chocolate Recipe

You can make as much or as little as you would like with this mint chocolate recipe. Just ensure you have a big enough pot to hold it all.

This is a fantastic drink to make for parties, holiday gatherings, baby showers, brunch, movie nights and more. There is no wrong time to serve up hot chocolate!

  • Marshmallows
  • Green or colored sprinkles
  • Drizzle of chocolate
  • Chopped Andes mints or Peppermint Patties

How do You Get Mint Flavor In Hot Chocolate

I used a peppermint and then vanilla extract. When you pair the two it really gives you a sweet minty flavor. The vanilla offers a sweet component and tamed down the mint.

Trust me, this recipe works and is downright decadent, with every sip!

Can I Make This Mint Hot Chocolate In Advance

You can mix up the hot chocolate and then store in a container in the fridge. Then when you are ready to serve our into a pan and reheat slowly on the stove.

You will want to stir often to ensure nothing burns. You can make your hot chocolate up to a day in advance. It is best fresh but feel free to make early if you have to.

How to Store Leftover Mint Hot Chocolate

Pour any hot chocolate you have into an airtight container or pitcher. Then store in the fridge. Give your not chocolate a stir or shake before you pour a glass to ensure it is fully mixed up.
