The Soundtrack: Pretty amazing
Jumanji Story: Four very different teenagers discover an old video game console while spending time in detention. 2 of the boys were long time friends who drifted apart as they became very different types of teenagers. One was a jock, the other a nerd. The girls were also equally different and not friends at all. One of the boys decided to see if this vintage console was still working. Working was an understatement since it also managed to draw each one of the teenagers inside of the game.
They were dropped into a lush jungle setting and literally became the adult avatars. Each one taking on an entirely different persona. Can they successfully survive the challenges of the jungle as well as successfully fill the shoes of the avatar they each became.
The story line continues with lots of laughs, some really exciting & adventurous scenes as the avatars attempt to make their way out of the game and back home.
The movie has a lot of underlying lessons that are extremely good life lessons to be reinforced with our teenagers. Take advantage of the important life lessons and the great conversations you can have with your teen.
The movie was a great balance of lots of laughs, excitement, adventure, fun & chock full of valuable life lessons.
