Home Canning to Preserve Homemade Jam
If you plan on keeping your jam for a while, you will want to practice safe canning methods. Since I am not a experienced canner, I do recommend that you read up on Home Canning: Keep Your Family Safe!

Absolutely! The one thing you have to remember is they will have a higher water content. So you might need to add 2-4 minutes longer on cook time.
Can I Use Canned Peaches for Instant Pot Jam
This is not recommended to do. The peaches will break down way to much. Fresh or frozen is the recommended methods.
Is Instant Pot Jam Shelf Stable
No. You will need to refer above on how to can safely if you want to have this jam be shelf stable.
How Long Will Peach Jam Last In Fridge
When your jam jars are in the fridge and stored properly they can last 1 week once opened. It all depends on the temperature of your fridge, size of jars etc on how long it will last.
Can You Freeze Peach Jam
Yes! You can leave room when filling your jars for empty space. Then toss your glass jars filled with jam right into the freezer. The Peach jam will expand as it freezes, so that’s why it can’t be filled to brim.
Then store in the freezer for up to three months. Thaw in fridge overnight and then serve and enjoy.

Instant Pot Peach Jam will be your new favorite way to eat peaches. Absolutely delicious on a warm crusty piece of bread.
Ingredients
- 2 large peaches- skinned, seed removed, and smashed
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 package fruit pectin
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp cinnamon, optional
Instructions
- Mix together all ingredients in your instant pot.
- Place the lid on and make sure the valve is sealed.
- Set on high pressure for 5 minutes. Allow the pot to naturally release
- When you can open the lid, remove the liquid and place in a large measuring cup or a bowl that you can easily transfer to your jars. Make sure the lid is clean and place the tops on the jars and turn upside down. This will help seal the jars for long term storage. You can also do the water bath to seal the jars if you prefer.
