What is the drink a duck fart shot made of?
A duck fart shot is a layered alcoholic drink that is made up of Kahlua, Baileys, and Jack Daniels. Each ingredient is layered to perfection in the shot glass for a drink that is not only delicious but a great conversation starter.
Where was the Duck Fart Shot created?
The first Duck Fart shot was served in a bar called The Peanut Farm, in Anchorage, Alaska. It’s said the first woman who tried the shot had some crazy farts, thus how it got its name.
Ingredients:
- ½ Ounce Kahlua
- ½ Ounce Bailey’s
- ½ Ounce Jack Daniels
Items Needed:
- Jigger
- Small Spoon
How to Make Duck Fart Shots
- Measure out your Kahlua and pour it into your shot glass.
- Measure out the Bailey’s. Gently and slowly pour it over a spoon into the shot glass. Be sure the spoon tip meets the liquid already in the glass before you begin pouring.
- Follow the previous step above with Jack Daniels. Enjoy!
Tips Tricks and FAQs
- I love using Kahlua and Baileys when making this drink, but you can use any coffee liqueur or Irish creme you prefer.
- The original version of this shot used Crown Royal as the final layer. You can use any whiskey you prefer.
- Be sure to not hold the spoon too high above the glass or the liquid already in the glass. If you do, then the layers may begin to mix together.
- Be sure to pour the ingredients into the glass slowly. Too much weight at once will mix the layers.
- This drink is intended to be enjoyed in layers. Do not mix them together prior to drinking it. It is said that you should go through different emotions as the layers hit you.
- It may appear that the top two layers are mixing together. This is normal. It is almost like the Bailey’s is snaking into the whiskey. It’s part of the charm of the Duck Fart.
Storage
It is best to enjoy this shot as soon as it is poured.
