If you were not already aware, the U.S. Department of the Treasury are currently in the process of deciding which inspiring American woman will appear on the $10 bill in 2020. This week I am thinking about women through history that have inspired me, who you think would be a worthy candidate for #TheNew10? E.g. women’s rights leader Susan B. Anthony, civil rights activists Rosa Parks & Harriet Tub,an, mental health rights activist Dorothea Dix, disability rights activist Helen Keller, etc.
I definitely would vote for Maud, without her great efforts and tremendous sacrifices change may not have happened. I can not imagine living in a world where women could not vote. I still find it so shocking that it was not that long ago that we just gained the right to vote. My soul is still so touched by this movie and I encourage each and every one of you to go see this movie!
