Holidays are a big deal around my house. I guess it is pretty obvious from the content on my blog that I have a mini obsession with each and every holiday. Christmas is one of my favorite holidays!! Having 4 boys, I always appreciate the magic of Christmas decor. I think we can all agree, as parents, the magic of Christmas is created by us. Our traditions, our sweet stories, our warm cups of hot chocolate, our sparkling Christmas tree, and most of all our Christmas decorating.
I really love to go over the top with my decorations but don’t like to go over the top with my budget. We are in a new house and I finally have a nice mantel and a beautiful porch to decorate. I have had so much fun decorating both, but since they are new additions for me, I did not already have a supply of decorations for them. I really wanted to decorate my mantel to reflect my love of the season. Plus we will be hosting Christmas dinner at our house so they magic really needs to be present for all of our guests to enjoy.
I was given the pleasure to work with Boscov’s and had the opportunity to shop in their holiday department. I was in heaven the minute I stepped off the escalator.
It was a good thing I brought my son shopping with me because I may have stayed in this department all day! I have never seen so many adorable, gorgeous, and well priced Christmas decorations in one place. Right now Boscov’s is having their Holiday Home Sale, so much stuff was 50% off!
This was a portion of my haul and I call it a haul because I got a ton of stuff! Wait till you see how I transformed it all into my Christmas magic!
I just fell in love with this Wood Floral Sled, Old Fashioned Ice Skates and Gingerbread Plush. I knew they would be the perfect for my hearth.
I paired my gingerbread plush with this adorable lighted snowman.
Overall I am in love with the look I created. I especially love that I was able to pair some pretty inexpensive items to create a gorgeous look for my mantel. I used some basic pine garland and some beautiful glass ornaments to really fill in my look.
I would love to see what magic you create with your holiday finds from Boscov’s! Share some pictures in the comments or on my Facebook wall so we can all enjoy. Happy Holidays!
