Bedroom Refresh Done Right With Wayfair
Bedroom Refresh Done Right With Wayfair
A bedroom is supposed to be your safe haven and a place for rest. I have been feeling a little tired of my current bedroom design, so I decided it needed new life breathed into it. If you are looking for quick and straightforward ways to transform your bedroom with little to no effort than let me help.
Painting is something I always try to avoid. I always paint my walls a neutral color and then use pieces in the room to accent and add color and design. When I get tired of a piece, I swap it out. By using pieces in your room to change, instead of buying paint, and making a clutter of your room to get to the walls, you are simplifying the whole process!
Bedroom Refresh Done Right
Declutter
The first thing is to go through your room and get rid of the clutter. Clean up your bedroom, so you are starting with a fresh and clean space. This is going to make all the other changes you work over offer the biggest end result. If you don’t have enough closet space, look at these garment racks that offer an element of design to the room.
Bedding
One of the first things I look at is my bedding. Whether you buy a duvet or a whole new comforter set, it will indeed be a great starting point. I tend to reach for solid color bedding, and then use a throw blanket to lay over one end of the bed to add a splash of color and texture to the room.
Layering on your bed with pillows, throw blankets, add so much design elements to a room. You would be amazed at what those simple steps lead to in how your room looks after.
Night Stands
If your nightstands are outdated, reach for a new set. I am loving bright white ones right now, or even the rustic style nightstands. I always say make sure that your nightstand can match the same style as your headboard and bed frame. That way, it doesn’t clash or look out of place.
Headboard Personality
If you have the room above your headboard, find a statement piece of artwork to hang. You will be amazed at how a larger framed or even canvas piece of artwork will become the new centerpiece of your room. I look for something with a bit of color to help transition the feel to a new theme.
Lighting
Consider swapping out the lighting in your room. Maybe add new nightstand lights, or buy new lighting for your main light. Look for a modern or even farmhouse look to really breathe freshness to the room.
Curtains
Curtains are another winning piece. You can either go for that really clean modern look with say white curtains, or find some with texture or design and color to help add that personality to the room.
Mirror
Another idea is to add a mirror to the main wall or get a full-length mirror. It will add depth to the room, and be a great place to check hair and makeup as you head out in the morning. Find one with a beautiful edging or design to fit the style or theme you are going for in your bedroom.
Rug
Rugs area another fantastic item. Wayfair is excellent because they offer quality rugs at a fraction of the cost as what other retailers have. You can lay out a rug and watch people feel like they are stepping into a whole new room. It is crazy what a little layering of texture on the floor can do for a room.
The biggest thing is don’t feel like you have to buy everything at once. Work slowly toward your whole bedroom transformation. Wayfair.com is the place I go to buy decorating pieces for my home. Free shipping over $49, the prices can’t be beaten, and the quality is exceptional.
