Lovebug Treat
These adorable Lovebugs will make the cutest treats to send to your child’s class this Valentine’s Day. If your school is like ours, you can not send candy to school any longer.
These little cuties are made with Strawberry Applesauce and fruit cups. Both should pass your school’s guidelines for permissible classroom treats. They definitely pass the cuteness test!
Let Kids Help Make Lovebugs
Assemble your Love Bugs with your kids. This is definitely a project you can work on together. A little glue and tape will help you create your Love Bug.
What To Use As Base For Lovebugs
You are welcome to use Jello cups, applesauce, or even pudding cups.
You could even do a mix if you wanted options. I want to find treats that were red or pink to help give it that Valentine’s Day vibe.
Ways To Stick Items On Applesauce Container
Feel free to use a double-sided tape or even reach for hot glue. Both will work and not affect the food since you are gluing to the outside.
Now if you are working with a glue gun, you of course don’t want little kids getting burned so help with that step.
Valentine’s Day Snack For Kids
These Valentine’s Day love bugs are so fun and easy to make. But feel free to get creative if applesauce or jello isn’t your thing.
Make love bug Twinkies or other Little Debbie Snacks. You could transform almost anything into a love bug with these supplies.
Where To Buy Supplies for Lovebugs
You could easily find your supplies at a craft store. Or shop online at your favorite stores. Amazon, Hobby Lobby and other craft stores are great.
I tend to use Amazon Prime due to the quick and free shipping for prime members.
How Many Lovebugs Does This Make
You are welcome to make as many or as few as you would like.
Depending on if I was just making these for my kids or for a group, I just adjust the supplies.
